A few days ago we talked with a well-known Swedish agent and young talent hunters on topics related to the development of footballers' careers.
We are convinced that you will find here many valuable tips that will positively affect your careers.
In addition, at the end of the conversation, Peter stated that he would be in constant contact with us. If the portal finds a player worth attention, he is ready to help him and lead his career.
Hello Peter, could you start by telling FootballTalentsTube.com something about yourself? What is your football experience like? How long have you been an agent? In which markets and what players do you work with?
My name is peter khalife I am a Swedish Agent/scout. Especially in the Greek Cypriot and spanish market. I played football in sweden and Lebanon until the age of 25 then start the management business since then. Around 5 or 6 years now. I mainly focus on youth players but do represent senior players also.
As a portal, we search for talented players by verifying their skills on the basis of video and help them in mental and typically football development, and then place the best and most diligent in teams or in managerial agencies that work with them. Tell me, how do you choose and look for players that you work with and which players most often look for a team? Are there any positions on the field or profiles of players who have the best chance?
I choose my players based on football IQ most of them are midfielders defensive and offensive, and usually wingers, centerbacks and strikers have more chance in getting bigger clubs but lately the market have been searching for creative midfielders as well. Everyone tries to get a chance to go to italian german and Spanish clubs for youth players lately.
When you observe a player, what do you pay attention to primarily? Which is more important: technical skills? mentality? Or maybe perfect physical and speed preparation ??
Physicality you can go and work on it on a 6 month program and get stronger. It's not a big talent in my opinion. Speed and technique are mostly important in my choice of players but also a strong mindset to be ready to face all difficulties coming up ahead.
Let's assume that thanks to our portal our scouts will discover, in our opinion, great talent, when we watch the player live, he will confirm the talent. Do you think the clubs you work with are ready to hire someone who was previously unknown? Does this boy out of nowhere have a chance
Yes if he got what it takes he will get a chance. If not by me then by someone else. There is always someone searching for something unique.
We work with a growing number of clubs, agents and scouting companies, almost everyone agrees that the key to success is hard, systematic work on themselves, bringing the ball control to the highest possible perfection, physical and mental preparation. And what advice would you give players who are fighting for a professional career from themselves? What should they do if they succeed?
Always stay positive and every coach has his own opinion. If you dont fit in that team doesnt mean you are not good enough for another team. Always keep fighting and have a strong mindset. The chance will come.
Finally, the question arose: what impact will the epidemic have on the employment of players in the coming time?
The pandemic happening right now has affected a lot of things in the football world. Sponsors, clubs, players and coaching staff, all have been affected financially and it's a very difficult time now for the big clubs to keep the same payroll since there is no cash flow anymore. Already many clubs took pay cuts but many clubs also haven't paid anything. So its affecting the families of the players. Let's hope we get over this situation as soon as possible. And now I think the clubs will start betting on youth players becasue they dont cost as much and dont take as big salary as bigger players. This might be positive for the youth. We want everyone to stay safe and healthy that's the priority for now.
