Krzysztof Stanowski, one of the most famous sports journalists in Poland and the owner of the weszło.com website, created the KTS Weszło football club a few years ago, which plays in the Polish 7th league.
In 2018, Mr. Stanowski decided to bring a talented player from the Congo to his club to help him get out of African poverty and create conditions for him to play on a world-class level.
Together with his friend Dominik who has Congolese roots, they found in Kinshasa Fundambu, a boy who everyone said has amazing talent, he plays in the youth national team of Congo and in the local league clubs.
There is such poverty in the Congo that even in the clubs of the highest league the players play for free and there are even problems with food.
Fundambu, despite hunger, was training hard all the time and was looking for a chance to travel to develop.
When there was a chance to go to Poland to the VII league, he was determined, because he knew that he had talent and would be able to do it, and soon he would play in the highest leagues of this country.
When everything was ready for departure, there were problems with leaving the Congo, because Fundambu was not allowed on the plane several times because bribes were expected from him at the airport.'
The young footballer was devastated and thought it would not work because the Polish people would finally give up and he would stay in Congo.
After several failures, Merveille Fundambu flew to Poland.
At the beginning of each day, he trained not to disappoint the people who helped him.
After six months of playing in the seventh league and individual training, Merveille was loaned to the first league in Poland to the Radomiak Radom team.
He was a reserve player there, but he trained hard and did not give up.
A month ago, before the start of the league, he joined the Widzew Łódz team and as you can see, hard work pays off because he played very well in the new team!
On Saturday, in the match against Stomil, Olsztyn scored an amazing a goal with a flip.

The story of a young Congolese shows that if you work hard and never give up, a dream come true is always possible, and help and opportunity may appear from the least expected side!
