You probably heard that Graham Potter became the Chelsea coach.
The history of this coach and the fact that he is now in such a great club makes us realize that it is absolutely not important where you start your career and what matters is what you are able to give for football.
Potter in 2011, as an unknown coach, who at that time nobody wanted to give a chance to work in England, decided to lead the 4 league Swedish anonymous club Östersunds FK.
Potter is an amazing visionary and a man who even then constantly strives for perfection.
Already at the level of the 4th Swedish league, he required incredible professionalism from his players.
Not everyone wanted to play in the 4th Swedish league, which is why Potter required the club's authorities to find players who are primarily determined to work hard and want to play at a professional level in the future, because he was not looking for players for whom football is just a hobby.
Thanks to his attitude and the way of selecting players, after 3 years his team was playing on the 2nd level in Sweden.
In 2014, the club was already in the highest league and in 2016 they won the Swedish Cup, thanks to which they could play in the Europa League.
Östersunds FK was eliminated from the Europa League only after losing to Arsenal in the 1/16 finals.
This team previously defeated such clubs as Galatasaray, PAOK Saloniki, Zoria Luhansk, Hertha Berlin and Athletic Bilbao.
It was almost an unrealistic achievement for this club who played in the 4th Swedish league at the beginning.
In the club, they still remember how professional Potter was and still is.
Hard work, a great goal, professionalism from the very beginning and a constant desire to develop these qualities allowed him to get so high.
After working for Östersunds FK many clubs in England wanted to hire him Graham chose Swansea and then Brighton & Hove Albion F.C.
He has done an amazing job at each of these British Isles clubs, and yesterday he was awarded a Chelsea contract for that work!
