If you are wondering whether the individual training that we constantly encourage on our portal really makes sense and is able to lead you to a career at the highest level, this story proves that definitely YES.
Patryk Klimala A 22-year-old footballer from Poland proves that this underestimated form of training, if performed in an appropriate manner on a regular basis, can change a career.
Klimala started his career in Legia Warsaw, but they decided that he was not suitable and terminated the contract with him.
After being kicked out of Legia, as an 18-year-old he went to the 4th league of Lechia Dzierżoniów, where he played only for fun, because then he abandoned his dreams of professional football.
Then, as a young player, he had the idea to ask the coaches why he cannot play in Legia and what skills he lacked.
It turned out that his technical skills were too low.
Therefore, he decided to train individually while playing in the 4th league to improve his weakest aspects, i.e. technique.
It turned out that after a year of regular and hard work, he got an offer from one of the best clubs in Poland - Jagiellonia Białystok.
Even while playing in the highest league in Poland, he did not give up individual training.
In 2019, a thing that is hard to believe has become because Klimala went to Celtic, i.e. a multiple Scottish champion.
In the first season, he didn't play for the first team at all as he was physically too weak for the Scottish League and his first touch and ball control weren't good enough to play regularly.
When there was a break due to the Klimala virus pandemic, he decided to train individually again to use this break to improve his weaknesses.
He improved ball control, first touch and physical preparation to adapt to the Scottish League.
And note in the first game after the league started, Patryk Klimala scored a goal for Celtic in the match against the Hamilton team.
Remember if you face rejection and you can't find a team at the level you dream about, that's not a reason to give up, but to start working on your skills even more!
