Cristiano Ronaldo was asked once in an interview what was his main motivation to work harder than others and train individually, despite the fact that at an early age he played in Sporting Lisbon, one of the best football academies.
Ronaldo answered this question very specifically:
"I was always training more and being professional because I was afraid that if I didn't do everything I should, I would waste my talent and miss my chance and that was the only reason I started working so hard"

1) NEVER COMPLAIN!
Many footballers with enormous potential do not even try to develop and become professional because they choose to complain instead of working hard.
Right from the start, they focus on aspects that are irrelevant instead of just working hard.
They complain about everything:
- lack of money
- coach
- lack of an agent
- no offers
and many more.
If you want to achieve success, focus only on one aspect - developing your skills.
2) DON'T BE AFRAID OF LEAVING THE COMFORT ZONE
Remember that development begins where comfort ends.
Are you exhausted and don't feel like training?
Even though it's going to be hard, you just have to do it!
Is something very difficult and seem unattainable?
Be persistent and you will finally succeed!
Are you afraid to try your hand at a better club because they rejected you earlier?
Remember that if you try, you will be a winner anyway because either you succeed or you learn something.
3) IF FOOTBALL WILL NOT BE YOUR PROIRIT, YOU WASTED YOUR TIME.
If you constantly have priorities other than training, adding a video to the portal to promote yourself, investing in tests or even entertainment will be more important than development, you have already lost!
Remember that only those for whom football will be the most important will be successful and the rest will remain at the amateur level!
4) IF THE OPINION OF OTHERS IS MORE IMPORTANT TO YOU THAN YOUR GOAL, YOU HAVE ALREADY LOST!
Remember that only you can decide how much you will achieve!
Only follow the advice and guidance of people who have already achieved something similar to what you want to achieve!
If your loved ones are not professional footballers, coaches or talent scouts, don't let their opinion be decisive!
5) IF YOU DON'T HAVE PERSISTENCE, YOU WILL ALWAYS LOSE!
The process of developing a football career is extremely demanding and clubs have huge expectations towards players, so sometimes even very talented players have to wait longer for a chance!
Were you on a test and you didn't get an offer?
Accept it, work more.
Have you added a few videos to the portal and nobody got interested?
Don't break down and keep working!
Have you been training an element for a long time, but progress comes very slowly?
You have to survive this!
If you are afraid that your time is running out and you can waste your potential, do the same as Cristiano Ronaldo - get to work hard!
