In football, your current level is not always your final level.
Younes Ebnoutalib is a perfect example.
His career did not begin with Bundesliga football, big stadiums or millions.
His road included lower leagues, disappointment and an unsuccessful move abroad.

A DIFFICULT ROAD
Ebnoutalib was born in Frankfurt, Germany.
His journey took him through lower-level football, including time with FC Gießen.
He also tried football in Italy with Perugia.
It did not become the breakthrough he hoped for.
He returned to Germany.
For many players, that could feel like going backwards.
But going backwards on paper can sometimes help you move forward.
THE FOURTH TIER
In 2024, Ebnoutalib joined FC Gießen.
He was playing in Germany's fourth tier.

A player competing far away from the biggest stage was still developing and trying to create another opportunity.
He didn't need everyone to believe in him.
He needed to perform.
THE OPPORTUNITY CAME
His performances opened another door.
SV Elversberg gave him an opportunity in the 2. Bundesliga.
And he took it.
During the first half of the 2025/26 season, he scored 12 goals in 17 league appearances.
Suddenly, the player who had recently been playing much lower was attracting serious attention.
EINTRACHT FRANKFURT CALLED
In January 2026, Eintracht Frankfurt signed him.
He had reached the Bundesliga.
Not through a famous academy-to-superstar highway.
Not because everything worked perfectly from the beginning.
He kept finding another step.
LOWER LEVEL → PERFORMANCE → OPPORTUNITY → HIGHER LEVEL.
THE LESSON FOR YOU

But it does not have to define where you will be in one or two years.
