Another conversation with our partner Abdul Ahad

Today we talked with Abdul Ahad, the owner of the management agency Royal Platinum Eleven Sports Group which is registered in Portugal.

Hello , could you start by telling FootballTalentsTube.com something about yourself? What is your football experience like? How long have you been an agent? In which markets and what players do you work with?

I am football agent registered in portuguese football federation, ive been in this business for more than 4 years now,I played football only till youth level than had to focus on studies, i played until under 18 in a local club in my city .I started unofficially and worked for another agent during 2 years and then started my own agency and have my own staff now and players. I work mostly portuguese market, but we recently expanded to spain. For other markets such as india, korea, france ,germany, we have partners we collaborate with and do deals with.

As a portal, we are looking for talented players, verifying their skills based on video in various forms, from recordings of matches, daily trainings to challenges and tests in football, when the portal is interested in a player, we watch him live and then put the best and most diligent in teams or managerial agencies cooperating with the portal. Does your agency use video in addition to live viewing to select players to collaborate with? To what extent can the video reflect the player's real skills and talent?

We use live matches and videos and also statistics, however of all live match is the most accurate and reflects the true skill of the player, we tend to watch 3 live games in different contexts, one against tough opponent, where the fans can influence the athlete, we look at a home game, and we look at away game.

And another question, does your agency give a chance to completely unknown players? If so, what results? do you think it is worth risking this way?

not really, we focus on talent scouted early and the more quality the bigger teams get them right away. going for unknown players in our perspective is only reasonable if he is in a country where football isnt competitive
and known, because where football is developed and competitive, the players are discovered very quickly
like going to a country where foootball is not so competetive and scout and find a player and bring here we dont often do it it has to be really a good player that hasnt been seen and we got first to him
its not worth risking because the clubs then dont value your recomendation
they will be like ah this agency sends us really bad players
you lose contacts and reputation.

What aspects do you pay attention to first when watching players? Is it a technique, mental or maybe efficiency and statisctics?

the overall quality of the player in direct relation to the level of competition, for example, if he makes a difference in this league club, etc., we pay attention to physical and mental as well as technique, but more importantly, we focus on the growth margin, which the player can where and where can easily play.
The point here is to let the player be constantly better and move forward.

Also tell us players playing in what positions are most sought after by clubs?

Central defender with left foot, striker and wingers.

Are you interested in future players, is there an age range?

we focus alot on undder 14 to under 23.

Do you think a player who, for example, at the age of 20 has not yet got a chance in professional football, has a chance do it career?

yes i believe a player can grow and develop until 24

Do you sometimes appear at scouting events and do you think such events lasting several days make sense and help you discover talents?

yes, they had one even here in portugall called soccer draft
and it was good gave opportunity for clubs not to spend money on sending scouts in the season to far places
all in one week event.

From our perspective, Africa currently has the most undiscovered talents because this is the only chance for many of these people, will you agree with this statement?

yes i believe africa has a lot more talents, because very few countries have their football organized  and also you get more street players in africa still, europe there isnt anymore street football for younger ages.

We work with SunVoyageSports from Portugal which organizes such events would you like to receive an invitation to one of them?

Yes i would be interested in attending.

Finally, we asked Abdul if he would be interested in leading the career of the most talented players we find on the portal.

Abdul said that I am currently working with many players, but if a player matches the player's profile that his agency is looking for is ready to cooperate with him.
