Have you ever wondered why it is so that very often in key moments you do not show 100 percent of your skills?
Sometimes it even happens that, both in matches and training, there comes a day where you make mistake after error in the simplest of situations and you cannot find the answer why this is so.
Today we will try to help you eliminate this situation by giving you some tips to help.
These tips will be based on training sessions and books by Anthony Robbins, an American mental development specialist.
To enter a state that will allow you to always show your maximum skills, you need to develop your individual set of behaviors that will put you in a state of maximum readiness.
We have 4 elements for you that you need to take care of before matches and training, so that you can always show all your skills.
1) TAKE CARE OF REGENERATION AND NUTRITION!
Regeneration and nourishment are the key to getting the maximum possible out of the body.
Therefore, always try to ensure a minimum of 8 hours of sleep at night and, if possible, a short 20 minutes of sleep in the afternoon before the game and training.
In addition, make sure that your meals are rich in protein, water, and fruit and vegetables.
Remember that the meal should be about 2 hours before training / match and that the portions are not too large.
2) TAKE CARE OF CONCENTRATION!
Another key element is to focus only on the task that you have to perform, cutting yourself off from any stimuli that may distract you.
Before each training, realize that this is the only way to improve your skills and if you have ambitious goals, you can not give less than 100 percent of yourself for a moment.
When it comes to important matches for you, when you are being watched by scouts or playing for a trophy, you must learn to think only about the game and the tasks you have to do on the field, not about these side aspects.
The ideal way to get concentration is through meditation.
In silence, try to close your eyes, calm your breath, and clear your mind, discarding everything except what you need to do today.
You can also pray in peace and quiet for concentration.
Everyone has to discover their own individual way that will help them concentrate and believe that they will manage to show their best side.
3) APPLY VISUALIZATION
Make visualization your habit both before the game and training.
A few hours before the game or training session, close your eyes and try to imagine how well you are performing the tasks given to you by the coach.
Imagine the perfect dribbles, passes, duels won and goals scored.
In this way, your subconscious mind will make you positive and the chance that everything will succeed will definitely increase.
Erling Halaand has repeatedly spoken in interviews about how I use visualization before the game, imagining the goals he will score in the match and claims that thanks to this he scores much more goals!
4) WAKE UP YOUR BODY WITH THE APPROPRIATE WARMING UP
Warming up is an element that not only prevents injury, but also has to be a stimulus that will prepare you to do a good job during the match and training.
Although each trainer usually has his own method of warming up, you need to listen to your body and feel what else you need to be fully ready.
Sometimes it is enough to do a little more stretching, jogging or ball bouncing to be fully ready.
Develop your individual method that will allow you to perfectly stimulate your body to be always ready.
Use the above tips and adapt them to yourself so that you can always do everything exactly as you can.
