A few months ago we had the opportunity to talk to Wim van den Berg, a man who has been involved in scouting for many years, who gave a lot of valuable advice and tips for the players.

Wim's answer turned out to be really valuable because he listed a few aspects that are crucial for a player to have: - Totally control over the ball
- How does the player move?
- Is the player aware of what happens during the game.
- How is his mindset?

We then asked how to deal with the fact that sometimes talent hunters may not recognize a talented player, and here, for example, we gave Lewandowski who at the age of 18 was rejected by Legia Warsaw.
Wim replied
When a player has talent in a young age,it sometimes happens that player has not been scouted
Here in Holland we have player Denzel Dumfries(PSV)
He got scouted at the age of 19 when he was playing for amateur team.
That proves,never give up,believe in your quality.

The next question was focused on what you need to work on for this success to appear:

What aspects would you recommend focusing on to make the most progress?
Wim at the beginning noted that in the Netherlands there are a lot of individual trainers but they are very expensive.
Then he gave some tips
You have to train on the football aspect that player does not controll well.
For example shoot with both legs,control the ball,or defensive or attacking exercise
At the end of the conversation about individual training, Wim added that in the Netherlands individual training is basically not necessary, because the training is at an amazing level, but if someone needs to fill in the deficiencies, then thanks to good individual training can benefit a lot!
