Ask him to watch you and correct small details:

You can do a lot alone.
But another serious player gives you pressure, competition and realistic repetitions.
Choose someone who actually wants to improve.
Push each other's standards.

GET SOMEONE TO RECORD YOUR MATCHES
It doesn't require expensive equipment.
A phone can be enough.
Record full matches whenever possible.
You cannot properly analyse mistakes you don't remember.
Video gives you evidence.

USE PROFESSIONAL PLAYERS AS FREE TEACHERS
Choose one professional who plays your position.
Watch HIM instead of following the ball.
Study:
Where does he stand?
When does he move?
When does he scan?
What does he do after losing possession?
Take ONE behaviour and practice it that week.

BECOME YOUR OWN ANALYST
After every match write down:
3 things you did well.
3 things you did badly.
1 thing to improve this week.
Keep it simple.
After several weeks, repeated problems become obvious.

REVIEW YOUR PROGRESS EVERY MONTH
Every four weeks ask:
What improved?
What didn't?
What do my match videos show?
What does my coach say?
What should I focus on next?
If your training isn't producing results, change the method.
