Be honest.
What level are you playing now?
Are you a starter?
Are you one of the best players there?
Your next target should usually be a realistic step forward, not five levels higher.

CHOOSE 2–3 REALISTIC LEAGUES
Don't search the whole world.
Choose leagues where your current experience and level could realistically be accepted.
Research the standard before contacting anyone.

Study their squad.
Are there only one or two centre-backs?
Did their striker leave?
Is their goalkeeper injured?
Are they looking for young players?
A club with a problem is much more interesting than a random club.

Recent transfers.
Results.
Formation.
Players in your position.
You should know WHY you are contacting that club.

PREPARE PROOF OF YOUR LEVEL
Make evaluation easy.
Prepare:
Short football CV.
2–4 minute highlights.
At least one recent full match.
Current statistics.
Basic information: age, position, height, nationality and current club.
Don't write an autobiography.
Let your football speak.

Look for:
Sporting director.
Recruitment department.
Scout.
Coach in smaller clubs.
Official club contact.
Your first message should be short.
Who you are.
Where you play.
Your position.
Why you are contacting THIS club.

Contact 10 realistic clubs.

Follow up once if appropriate.
Record every response.
